Notes From The Brill

The Brill Building, or Brill Building Sound was a genre of pop music which came out of the Brill Building in New York City. Groups of songwriters, producers, and artists developed a sophisticated brand of pop music aimed at teen idols and girl groups which dominated the American charts from the late '50s through the mid '60s. The creators of the Brill Sound have gone on to become pop music icons, and in Notes From The Brill we capture the vibe and feel of this great era featuring material by Carole King, Burt Bacharach, Laura Nyro, Neil Sedaka and many more.
